The Project Controls Team Coordinator is responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing a team of approximately 8 Project Controls professionals across Planning, Scheduling, and Cost Management disciplines.
The role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality project controls services across multiple project portfolios while promoting best practices, fostering collaboration, and supporting the professional growth of team members. The successful candidate will combine strong technical project controls expertise with excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and support a team of approximately 8 direct reports across planning, scheduling, and cost management functions.
· Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and technical support to team members.
· Conduct performance discussions, development reviews, and resource planning activities.
· Develop and deliver project controls training, coaching, and mentoring programs.
· Oversee planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, earned value management and reporting activities.
· Support project managers and stakeholders with project performance insights.
· Act as an escalation point for project controls issues.
· Support project audits, governance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Skills
· Strong understanding of Project Controls principles and best practices.
· Basic or strong understanding of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
· Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, budgeting, earned value management (EVM), and performance reporting.
· Strong knowledge and practical experience in AECOM systems and tools including Workbench, ABC and Coupa.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with enterprise project management systems.
