AECOM is actively seeking an Inspector for our New Jersey office to support our Transportation Business Line.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform field inspections on highway and bridge construction projects and maintain comprehensive inspection records for As-Built documentation
- Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents to ensure work is completed according to design and under immediate supervision
- Monitor and enforce compliance with construction standards, contract specifications, industry regulations, and safety protocols at project sites
- Maintain daily reports, documentation, and progress logs on project activities, including materials used, work performed, and any issues identified
- Conduct and document material testing, sampling, and field measurements as required
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely manner
- Participate in punch lists, testing, commissioning, and project meetings to provide updates on inspection findings
- Travel throughout New Jersey to support multiple project sites as assigned
