Here is what you will be doing:
- Works under broad supervision.
- May take on several components of a project.
- Provides direction for team members.
- Plans and manages implementation and integration of new technologies.
- Troubleshoots problems of medium complexity and recommends appropriate action.
- Participates with other team members to achieve common goals.
- Takes ownership of standard ICT design packages with minimal supervision
- Performs routine coordination directly with architects and engineers
- Conducts site inspections independently on small to medium projects
- Resolves common technical issues without escalation
- Begins contributing to project planning and design decisions
- Provides informal guidance to Candidate ICT Specialists when needed
- Manages defined tasks within a project but not the full project
- Interprets and applies standards but does not create or modify them
- Works under direct supervision on routine tasks as per established procedures.
- Works with other team members and/or end-users to troubleshoot basic problems.
- Design and develop ICT systems, including network infrastructure, building management systems, CCTV, access control, and security systems
- Create detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of ICT systems
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and constraints
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ICT systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends in ICT systems
- Design and support:
- Structured cabling systems
- Fibre optic networks
- LAN/WAN infrastructure
- Wi-Fi networks
- Data centre and communications rooms
- CCTV systems
- Access control systems
- Intruder detection systems
- Public address and voice evacuation systems
- Intercom systems
- Building management system (BMS) interfaces
