The Construction Director will lead the safe, timely, and successful delivery of large-scale manufacturing construction projects, overseeing all aspects of construction execution from design coordination through commissioning and handover. The role is responsible for managing contractors, suppliers, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in line with scope, budget, schedule, quality, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead construction delivery across multiple project workstreams, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project standards.
- Manage stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and supply chain partners.
- Track critical project milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule performance.
- Ensure effective project governance, reporting, controls, and best-practice project management processes.
- Monitor project progress, costs, design compliance, and construction quality across all phases of delivery.
- Manage contractor and supplier interfaces through regular reviews, reporting, and performance management.
- Coordinate communication and information flow between project teams and stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership on constructability, value engineering, cost control, and risk management.
- Review project reports, schedules, drawings, and contractor submissions to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Build strong client relationships and support business growth through excellent project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned across the project portfolio.
