Job Summary:
The Material Handler ensures inventory control management and warehouse operations for environmental services facilities, handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of goods, often using forklifts or other equipment to unload trucks and other delivery vehicles.
- They verify that the items received match the accompanying documentation.
- They may also inspect items for damage before moving them to designated storage areas.
- Maintains accurate, neat and complete records of all calibration/operation logs and reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Use warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
- Receipt, storage, issue and stock control of materials in the warehouse
- Maintains all reagent and chemical inventory in the calibration room
- Assist Material buyer in cycle count, blind and yearly inventory
- Receiving, issuing parts listed for plant and field use.
- Responsible for stocking spill kits, fire locker and housekeeping of waste management areas.
- Responsible for rebuilding, testing all configurations of Cla-Vals and dosing pumps
- Handling of potentially hazardous chemicals
- Responsible for all hazardous chemical storage areas, deliveries, tank levels and dilutions during the shift.
- Material handlers follow safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
- They may also perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- They maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that loading and docking areas are clear.

Required:

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
Preferred:
- At least 2 years of experience in a comparable manufacturing or warehouse environment involving chemical handling
- ERP experience in SAP
- Knowledge of Water Technology
- Knowledge of the lab, works with the lab technician and performs quality control checks
- Operates yard-mule and forklift as business needs.
