The Employment Compliance Specialist I provides foundational support for employment compliance matters under appropriate supervision. This role assists with investigations, intake activities, documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance-related projects while developing practical knowledge of employment policies, procedures, and legal requirements. The position is expected to build proficiency in fact-finding, case documentation, and risk awareness while supporting consistency and compliance across assigned matters.
Employment Compliance Specialist I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support workplace investigations by assisting with fact-finding, document review, note-taking, summary drafting, and planning preparation.
- Develop investigation and compliance skills by shadowing senior team members and taking on assigned portions of matters with appropriate oversight.
- Assist with ADA intake, wage and hour documentation, workforce reduction analysis, and related compliance matters by gathering, organizing, and documenting information for review.
- Participate in internal discussions and HRBP or leadership meetings in a support capacity to help evaluate facts, process considerations, and potential compliance risks.
- Maintain accurate case files, records, and compliance documentation in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Contribute to compliance projects, training materials, job aids, and SharePoint resources by drafting content, incorporating feedback, and obtaining required review before distribution.
