We are seeking an experienced Meteorology Specialist to provide expert meteorological analysis, forecasting, and weather-related risk assessments in support of environmental, infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing meteorological data, evaluating extreme weather events, developing weather intelligence products, and delivering actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret meteorological, atmospheric, and climatological data from a variety of sources, including weather stations, radar systems, satellite imagery, and numerical weather prediction models.
- Conduct detailed assessments of extreme weather events, including tropical cyclones, typhoons, severe thunderstorms, flooding, droughts, heatwaves, cold waves, and other hazardous weather conditions.
- Develop and provide short-term, medium-term, and long-term weather forecasts and climate analyses.
- Monitor regional and global weather patterns and identify potential risks that may impact operations, projects, and communities.
- Evaluate historical weather and climate datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential future impacts.
- Prepare meteorological studies, technical reports, weather risk assessments, and stakeholder presentations.
- Support environmental impact assessments, climate resilience studies, and disaster risk reduction initiatives.
- Utilize meteorological models, forecasting systems, GIS tools, and data visualization platforms to support analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate meteorological considerations into project planning and operational strategies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, meteorological guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed of advancements in meteorological science, forecasting techniques, and climate research.
