College Aides are permitted to work up to 17 hours per week during the school year, and full time (35 hours) during the summer. Please note you must be a student enrolled in an accredited college or graduate school to be eligible for the position.
Public Buildings’ Office of the Chief Architects needs a College Aide to assist with researching new architectural technology, tools, products and protocols to be used in the implementation of agency-wide architectural frameworks, standards, policies and sustainability technology solutions.
The position will provide valuable exposure to public-sector project delivery, construction management, best practices and regulatory processes and exposure to cutting edge industry technology.
Responsibilities will include:
Assist with researching new architectural technology, tools, products and protocols to be used in the implementation of agency-wide architectural frameworks, standards, policies and sustainability technology solutions.
Duties
*Generating PowerPoint presentations and research.
*Researching projects and publications, case studies, best practices, etc...
*Review design drawings and visit project sites for post occupancy evaluations.
*Document components of successful projects as well as "lessons learned.
