As part of AECOM’s Global Enterprise Applications team, this role will oversee time, labor, and payroll systems, reports, interfaces, and related operational support. It will lead internal analysts and outsourced partner resources to deploy, enhance, support, and maintain business-critical applications.
Reporting to the IT Director, HR and Payroll Solutions, the role is accountable for the full software delivery lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement.
The Senior Manager, Time, Labor & Payroll Solutions will identify, scope, and deliver end-to-end solutions, projects, and enhancements aligned with AECOM’s technology needs and strategic goals.
In collaboration with global business and IT teams, the role will also lead the evaluation, governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of AI and automation opportunities within the function. It will act as a strategic bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that initiatives are prioritized, well defined, compliant, operationally sustainable, and aligned with business value, risk, capacity, and organizational objectives.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule that includes both in-office and remote work and may be based in either Dallas or Houston, TX.
Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as AECOM technology lead for business users across time, labor and payroll enterprise applications and functions
- Shape and maintain the technology roadmap for time, labor, and payroll solutions in partnership with the IT Director, HR and Payroll Solutions, global business stakeholders, and IT teams
- Partner with global stakeholders to understand business processes, define requirements, analyze complex problems, and deliver practical, scalable solutions
- Lead the identification, evaluation, prioritization, and delivery of AI and automation initiatives across time, labor, and payroll solutions, ensuring alignment with business value, governance, privacy, security, and operational readiness
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enhancements, implementations, and projects from concept through design, testing, deployment, and support
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across time, labor, payroll, and related business processes
- Lead and develop direct reports, and vendor delivery resources, ensuring, assigned tasks are completed accurately and on-time delivery performance, and team engagement
- Ensure that the team maintains clear communications with all channel partners, and that all due-dates and commitments for project proposals and documentation are satisfied
- Manage governance, change control, security requirements, and alignment with AECOM IT processes, standards, and strategy
- Oversee operational support, incidents, service requests, stakeholder updates, and continuous improvement opportunities for business-critical systems
- Ensure timely escalation of issues and measurement against SLAs
- Provide support metrics and dashboards for key enterprise systems (Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 systems)
- Keep current with new technologies as well as the latest versions of applications software, techniques and practices
