Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Professional to support large-scale mission critical/data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction safety, contractor oversight, and project delivery, with experience supporting a proactive safety culture throughout all phases of construction.
Responsibilities:
- Support internal teams and project stakeholders with oversight of field construction activities and progress reporting.
- Assist with the administration of project contracts and budgets, helping ensure alignment with approved cost plans.
- Support the development and coordination of project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource planning.
- Monitor project compliance with health and safety regulations through regular site inspections, observations, and audits.
- Identify and help resolve quality, safety, health, and environmental concerns.
- Track and escalate risks related to construction execution, site logistics, and HSE performance, coordinating with contractors as needed.
- Participate in design and preconstruction reviews to identify constructability concerns, safety considerations, and project requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate project reporting, including daily, weekly, monthly, and incident-related reports.
- Document meetings and distribute meeting minutes for site progress, OAC, and other project meetings.
- Support the RFI and submittal process while coordinating with project controls and cost management teams.
- Assist project leadership in coordinating construction activities to achieve safety, quality, commissioning, and project delivery objectives.
- Support project success by helping track safety, schedule, cost, technical, and quality performance metrics.
- Participate in contractor coordination efforts and procurement activities as required.
- Support project scheduling activities by monitoring milestones, critical actions, and project progress.
- Participate in meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to monitor project status.
- Assist with closeout activities, including review of as-built documentation and turnover deliverables.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, permits, inspections, and compliance records.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
