The role takes global ownership of our central data and analytics environment, driving the strategic
implementation, platform standardization, and scalable operation of Databricks.
The core mission is to establish a secure, reliable, and high-quality data foundation that empowers data engineering, self-service analytics, and AI initiatives across the entire enterprise.
Core responsibilities
• Define and communicate the product vision and strategic roadmap for the Databricks platform in
alignment with the overall corporate data strategy.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog. Translate complex requirements from data scientists,
analysts, and business domains into actionable user stories and technical epics.
• Coordinate with integration architects to ensure seamless, robust, and performant data
ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines flowing into the platform from various source systems.
• Define and enforce platform-specific governance standards, including access management, data
security policies, and data lineage.
• Establish operational and usage KPIs to monitor platform performance, system stability,
compliance, and cost-efficiency (FinOps).
• Drive platform adoption, design self-service templates, and foster a collaborative community of
key users, data engineers, and data scientists across different business units.
