Job Summary
The Senior Hardware Engineer is responsible for defining, developing, and validating the electronic hardware of wall-hung boiler control systems. This role translates customer and market requirements into hardware technical specifications, works closely with external suppliers to develop electronic control solutions, and ensures compliance with performance, reliability, EMC, and regulatory standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer, market, and product requirements and translate them into detailed electronic hardware functional and technical specifications.
- Lead the technical definition and development of electronic controller hardware, ensuring alignment with product performance, cost, quality, and schedule targets.
- Collaborate with external electronic hardware suppliers to define hardware architecture, review technical solutions, resolve design issues, and deliver complete hardware specifications.
- Define Human-Machine Interface (HMI) requirements by working closely with customers, product management, UX teams, and suppliers to develop user-friendly and compliant interface solutions.
- Own the electronic hardware technical specification documents, ensuring all customer requirements are fully captured and implemented.
- Ensure electronic hardware designs comply with EMC, electrical safety, environmental, and applicable international/regional regulatory standards.
- Define hardware reliability, durability, and lifetime requirements, develop validation plans, and ensure successful execution of verification and validation (V&V) testing.
- Review and approve hardware design documentation, schematics, component selection, design reports, test reports, and supplier deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with software, mechanical, system engineering, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product integration.
- Support product issue analysis, root cause investigation, corrective actions, and continuous product improvement during development and production.
- Drive technical risk assessment and mitigation activities throughout the product development process.
