Here is what we are looking for:
The BIM Modeller performs routine, structured work in a required discipline and demonstrates ability to take on more complex tasks. This is an intermediate user in Autodesk Revit Software (Buildings) or similar, who can draw/model with limited supervision having the ability to create content within a specific discipline.
- Must also be an intermediate user in other core discipline specific software.
- Good understanding and experience in modelling in REVIT and other BIM platforms.
- Understand BIM modelling principles.
- Discipline in approach to engineering.
- General knowledge of local standards and codes.
- Be able to work within a disciplined engineering environment.
- An intimate working knowledge of REVIT.
- Working knowledge of clash detection Software Applications.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- An intimate working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, etc.
- Good communication and people management skills for effective interface with other engineering disciplines, the client and contractors.
- The ability to work independently.
- An awareness and appreciation for health, safety and environmental issues.
- Routine/repeated tasks accomplished within assistance
- Receives guidance or direction from others with limited discretion to vary from established procedures
- Contributes by performing routine, structure work assignments in specific job function, expanding complexity of tasks performed
- Follow standard operating procedures/methodologies, using them to solve routine or standard problems.
- Identifies problems in existing procedures.
- General proficiency with tools, systems and procedures required for role
- May need continued support on some technical issues
- Applies experiences and skills to complete assigned tasks within area of expertise
