Lead and manage the eDrive Transmission Engineering team, including technical leadership, resource planning, talent development, and performance management.
Build and continuously strengthen the team's engineering capabilities to support current and future eDrive/eAxle business growth.
Lead transmission engineering activities throughout the complete product development lifecycle, from concept development through production launch and series support.
Drive technical development of eDrive transmission systems, including gearbox architecture, gears, shafts, bearings, lubrication systems, housings, and mechanical integration within eAxle products.
Provide engineering support for awarded customer programs and ensure flawless execution regarding quality, cost, timing, and performance targets.
Support business acquisition activities by leading technical discussions, application engineering, benchmarking analysis, and customer promotion activities.
Act as the primary engineering interface for customers regarding transmission-related technical topics, issue resolution, and product optimization.
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical technical issues, customer complaints, field concerns, and engineering change requests.
Collaborate closely with System Engineering, eMotor, Power Electronics, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Program Management teams to ensure successful product integration.
Drive Design FMEA, DFM/DFA, risk assessment, and engineering best practices throughout product development.
Lead validation strategy and support mechanical validation activities to ensure product robustness and reliability.
Promote value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) initiatives to achieve product cost optimization and continuous improvement.
Manage engineering budgets, development resources, and project priorities to ensure efficient execution.
