The Production Manager for the event fabrication workshop is responsible for overseeing the entire production cycle of event structures, exhibition stands, sets, and custom props, from initial design interpretation to final installation. This role bridges the gap between design, client servicing, and on- ground fabrication, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in workshop operations (carpentry, metalwork, printing, foam work, and painting) who can manage daily production workflows, lead a team of multidiscipline works, and ensure safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Production Planning & Workflow: Develop and manage production schedules based on factory capacity, ensuring on-time delivery of projects.
• Design Interpretation: Review technical drawings and liaise with the design team to ensure production feasibility.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor workshop staff, including carpenters, , metal fabricators, printers, painters.
• Resource & Inventory Management: Determine necessary material resources, manage inventory levels, and optimize usage to reduce wastage.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, prepare cost estimates, and implement strategies to save money on materials and labor.
• Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality standards, inspecting final outputs before dispatch or installation.
• Health, Safety & Compliance (HSE): Enforce strict safety protocols, maintain a clean, organized work environment, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Logistics & Site Coordination: Preplan and oversee the installation and dismantlement of projects on-site.
• Reporting: Submit weekly reports to management regarding project status, milestones, and
achievements.
