OVERVIEW
The Associate Producer, International Chinese Language Content is a key member of CNBC Asia’s editorial team, responsible for leading the creation and delivery of business news programming. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will oversee content development, manage production workflows, and ensure the smooth execution of live and pre-recorded segments across multiple formats. At CNBC, we offer TV packages on the global economy and international business to the business channel of China State Broadcaster. We are looking for a producer to join our team and help our reporter create Chinese-language content. In this role, you will bring experience in TV news production, a deep understanding of financial and business news, and the ability to independently line-produce daily live shows with minimal supervision, while thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will provide editorial support to our show production teams, focusing on Chinese content for Chinese broadcasting platforms. Your tasks will include assisting with research, cutting and logging videos, building graphics, basic segment production and guest booking. You will start learning about Asian business and markets, and the fundamentals of journalism, and you will have opportunity to work on CNBC Asia Pacific’s live English TV programming.
Collaborate closely with teams in China and Singapore to ensure all content is broadcast-ready.
Translate, coordinate and verify scripts between Chinese and English languages accurately.
Work with video editors to cut videos and ensure content aligns with scripts for Chinese broadcast reports.
Create graphics and data boards using CNBC’s in-house applications and coordinate with Graphics team to generate high-quality visuals that supplement news stories.
Produce accurate interview transcripts in Chinese language for Chinese broadcast reports.
Draft short pitches in Chinese language for Chinese broadcasters.
Conduct research on stories as required.
Assist the reporter with logistics, guest coordination, and post-filming editing for outside filming assignments.
