Job Location: NY or any other unanticipated worksites/locations throughout the U.S.
- Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through to detailed design including assessing local conditions and providing rate breakdowns (material, labor, plant, and productivity)
- Assist in providing feasibility studies and using the application of parametric benchmark cost data.
- Provide reasoned and rational cost advice on elements of cost estimating and planning.
- Understand local market rates and project nuances
- Contribute to benchmark library and advise on accuracy of cost advice and estimates received from external parties.
- Provide benchmarking studies, analysis of cost data and presentation of data in reports.
- Undertake cost assurance of third-party estimates, report writing and presentation.
- Perform all aspects of procurement, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing bid list, bid analysis, bid report, and compiling contractual documents.
- Participate with post contract cost variances and the change control processes.
- Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking, and valuation process.
- Produce monthly cost reports and present to clients.
- Provide input into value engineering and options analysis.
- Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all project stages
- Identify improvements for cost estimating procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to appropriate line manager.
- Perform and update all aspects of the site base quantity surveying/reporting to support project tracks within the project and support the progress & performance of ongoing construction work within assigned construction discipline.
- Monitor, assess and verify field progress versus baseline scope to support progress and performance of the construction work.
- Competency in quantity take-off by isometrics or P&IDs.
- Perform the foregoing using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, estimating tools including Aspentech, Planswift, CostX, NavisWorks and industry estimating database.

SALARY RANGE: $166,000.00 to $170,000.00/year
