The Senior HSSE Engineer is responsible for guiding and supporting the implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, security, and environmental within site construction and operational activities. You ensure that all actives performed to comply with HSSE regulations and standards, contributing to a safe and sustainable work environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSSE programs, standards and policies.
- Conduct or participate in detailed risk assessments and hazard analyses, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Support or lead investigations into HSSE incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with HSSE regulations and standards in site construction and operational activities, conducting audits and inspections as necessary.
- Develop initiatives aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainability in engineering practices.
- Develop, review and maintain HSSE documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Supervise and review the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, ensuring that engineering teams are prepared for potential incidents.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSSE practices, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of engineering and operational processes.
