The Project Controls Manager plays a crucial role in managing and executing project control functions for major capital investments. This position directly reports to the Project Manager, overseeing cost engineering, planning/scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting while facilitating change and risk management processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead project controls execution by establishing comprehensive control plans, procedures, and workflows aligned with relevant standards, while overseeing both internal team and external contractors.
- Develop and implement structured frameworks for work breakdown, cost control, scheduling, and progress measurements to enable accurate forecasting and meaningful reporting.
- Coordinate cost estimating processes and establish control account budgets, facilitating internal reviews and stakeholder approvals while ensuring comprehensive risk assessment.
- Provide strategic analysis and recommendations through monthly reporting, identifying early warnings of variances and mitigation options for project success.
- Management of project control team and mentor team members.
