The Senior Project Control Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring the progress of the projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Planning and Scheduling: develop, maintain and oversee detailed project schedules, incorporating all phases from design to commissioning. You use tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project for schedule management.
- Cost Control: prepare, monitor, update and oversee project budgets. You track expenditures and analyze variances to ensure financial control.
- Progress Monitoring: collect and analyze data to assess project performance. You produce and oversee regular progress reports, highlighting any issues or deviations.
- Risk Management: identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. You lead and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Coordination: collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication across all project activities.
- Documentation: maintain and oversee comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, progress reports, and change orders.
- Compliance: ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Mentoring: mentor junior Project Control Engineers and support their development.
