The Project Controller is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project cost, schedule, progress, and reporting to ensure the Lucknow project is delivered within approved time, cost, and quality parameters. The role acts as a key interface between project execution teams, management, and the client on all controls-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, monitor, and update baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
- Prepare detailed construction programs, milestones, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
- Track progress against baseline and identify schedule variances.
- Support delay analysis and time impact assessments.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Establish and maintain project budgets, cost codes, and control systems.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, and cash flow against approved budgets.
- Identify cost variances and forecast Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC).
- Coordinate with commercial and procurement teams on cost forecasting.
Progress Measurement & Reporting
- Develop progress measurement systems (physical and financial).
- Collect site progress data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Generate dashboards highlighting cost, schedule, productivity, and key risks.
- Present project performance reports to senior management and the client.
Risk & Change Management
- Support identification and tracking of project risks and opportunities.
- Assist in evaluation of scope changes, variations, and claims.
- Maintain change logs and support impact analysis on cost and schedule.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, safety, procurement, and billing teams for accurate inputs.
- Support client reviews, progress meetings, and design/construction coordination meetings.
- Ensure alignment between site execution and project controls data.
Systems & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company project controls procedures and contractual requirements.
- Maintain project control records in line with audit and management review requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to planning and cost control.
