We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Construction Manager - Infrastructure to lead and oversee major infrastructure projects in Kigali, Rwanda. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and government entities to drive successful project completion while maintaining strict adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all phases of infrastructure construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, timeline, and budget objectives
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies using industry-standard project management methodologies
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost control measures to optimize financial performance
- Lead, mentor, and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure productivity and accountability
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and analyze project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make decisive decisions to resolve issues promptly
- Maintain detailed project documentation, progress reports, and performance metrics for stakeholder communication and organizational records
- Coordinate with government agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders to ensure compliance with Rwanda-specific construction regulations and permits
- Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols and environmental management practices across all project sites
- Manage contract negotiations, procurement processes, and vendor relationships to secure quality materials and services
- Communicate project status, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership and clients through regular updates and formal presentations
