We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our growing healthcare team in Portland, Maine. - Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical examinations, range of motion assessments, strength testing, and vital sign measurements to establish baseline data and inform treatment planning
- Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific condition, goals, and functional limitations
- Perform a variety of therapeutic interventions, including modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, and activities of daily living (ADL) training
- Provide clear, empathetic instruction to patients and their families regarding assistive devices, home exercise programs, and self-management strategies to support long-term recovery
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, documenting patient progress, treatment responses, and clinical observations
- Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare team members, and other professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Analyze patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed based on clinical findings and patient feedback, demonstrating analytical thinking and commitment to continuous improvement
- Mentor and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistant students, technicians, and other team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to organizational improvements that enhance patient care and operational efficiency
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and professional standards in physical therapy through ongoing professional development
