About the Role
Are you an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer looking for consistent work and strong earning potential?
We’re looking for skilled, self-employed engineers to join our Electrical Compliance project within the social housing sector across Manchester area.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out electrical testing (EICRs) in social housing properties in line with the provided schedule
- Completing around 4 properties per day on average
- Identifying faults, risks, and non-compliant installations, ensuring they are clearly recorded
- Undertaking remedial works, repairs, rewires, and adaptations where required
- Submitting reports and results within agreed timeframes
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures
- Communicating effectively with tenants, maintaining a professional and respectful approach at all times
- Working closely with the wider site team, supervisors, and coordinators to ensure smooth delivery of the programme
- Managing your daily workload and route efficiently to maximise productivity
- Reporting any issues, access problems, or risks promptly to the relevant teams
