As a (Cloud) System Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing secure, compliant, and optimised cloud-based solutions using your skills in virtualisation, containerisation, and orchestration with tools such as Kubernetes and Docker. You'll be comfortable working with cloud-native development, serverless architectures, and DevOps practices to drive innovation and efficiency in cloud environments.
Your responsibilities include maintaining systems, developing scripts to optimize infrastructure, and aligning cloud platforms to meet business goals, utilising your expertise in Azure (or AWS), automation frameworks, networking, and security to support digital transformation and build reliable, cost-efficient systems.
You will handle system administration tasks like installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring, as well as the installation of upgrades, updates, and patches on both on-premise and cloud platforms. Additionally, you'll design, implement, and support scalable cloud or hybrid platform solutions, streamline deployment processes, reduce manual interventions, and ensure the optimal operation of our systems through analytical thinking, governance skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective cross-functional team collaboration.
