Role Purpose
Working within Syngenta's Manufacturing Engineering Technology team, you will coordinate the steady-state operational activities required to maintain PlaTO, Syngenta's global digital manufacturing platform, across our worldwide network. As the technical backbone supporting manufacturing operations across all sites, you will ensure platform reliability, data integrity, and seamless integration between plant-level systems and enterprise frameworks. Managing both the OutSystems application layer and the critical data infrastructure (HighByte, PostgreSQL, Databricks), you will be the bridge between operational end-users and technical systems, resolving issues, optimizing data pipelines, and supporting platform rollouts, ensuring manufacturing professionals have consistent access to real-time, standardized operational data following ISA-88/ISA-95 standards. Accountabilities
- Manage daily operational activities of the PlaTO platform by participating in support triage meetings, resolving user tickets (bugs, data issues, training needs), and handling access, permissions, and master data change requests
- Maintain and troubleshoot PlaTO data infrastructure including HighByte pipelines, PostgreSQL databases, and Databricks analytics layers, ensuring data quality and ISA-88/ISA-95 standardization compliance
- Identify improvement opportunities from support trends and manage proposed platform changes across the full lifecycle, including testing, documentation updates, and user communication
- Support PlaTO rollouts at new sites by coordinating technical deployment, configuring data connections, validating data flows, and providing hypercare support during go-live
- Create and maintain knowledge management materials (SOPs, quick reference guides, data dictionaries, troubleshooting playbooks)
- Coordinate service provision with IT teams and external vendors, acting as main point of contact for support ticketing systems and conducting periodic service reviews
- Deliver remote training to global manufacturing users on platform functionality, data interpretation, and troubleshooting approaches
- Monitor platform performance and data pipeline health, proactively identifying issues before they impact operations
