The Strategic Buyer is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories. The role focuses on supplier management, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply and long-term value creation for the organization.
- Develop and implement category and supplier strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead sourcing projects, including RFQ/RFP processes and contract negotiations.
- Manage supplier performance, cost reductions, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, R&D and Finance stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and proactively identify opportunities and risks.
- Support standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
