Provide comprehensive medical care for inpatients from admission through discharge, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
Conduct daily ward rounds (Monday–Saturday) for all assigned patients and document findings in the medical records:
New patients: initial visit within < 1 hour of admission
Patients transferred to/from ICU: visit within < 30 minutes
Perform emergency medical interventions in accordance with general practitioner competencies in urgent situations.
Collaborate with the Doctor in Charge (DPJP) to ensure:
Timely communication of patient condition updates (e.g., EWS > 4, clinical deterioration, therapy changes, or other critical concerns)
Proper execution of all specialist doctors’ instructions
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including medical support units, administrative staff, and insurance providers to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Maintain regular communication with patients and their families regarding:
Patient condition updates
Diagnostic and treatment plans
Discharge planning
Coordination with insurance/guarantor
Ensure completeness of medical records by reminding RMOs and specialist doctors when necessary.
Provide regular reports to the Head of AMA regarding inpatient conditions and ward-related incidents within the assigned area of responsibility.
