The IT Operations Tech Support is a hands-on, physical role dedicated to the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of live floor gaming operations. Unlike traditional desktop support, this position focuses on the hardware that powers our live streaming environment, including gaming tables, shuffling machines, video capture equipment, and server connectivity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Floor Hardware Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and rapid repairs on live gaming floor equipment, including automated shuffling machines, gaming tables, and peripheral hardware.
- Streaming & Video Systems: Install and maintain high-definition video cameras, audio equipment, and video cards to ensure uninterrupted broadcast quality.
- Infrastructure & Cabling: Execute physical installation of data, optical, and network communication systems, including running and managing cabling in on-floor and back-of-house areas.
- System Diagnostics: Monitor information systems and CDN server connections; diagnose and solve connectivity or hardware issues immediately to minimize floor downtime.
- Operational Compliance: Adhere strictly to multi-state Gaming Commission Regulations (NJ/PA/MI) and live unit policies.
- Technical Support: Provide day-to-end user support for onsite staff regarding hardware functionality and software troubleshooting.
- Reporting: Document all maintenance activities, hardware stocktaking, and technical incidents for management review.
