We are seeking a senior Campus Architect and Strategic Site Planner to provide institution-level architectural and site planning leadership to advance development and long-range vision of LLNL’s built environment. In this highly collaborative role, you will integrate campus architecture, site planning, and facility siting practices, leveraging subject matter expertise to support the evolution and implementation of the Site Development Plan (SDP), and guide the preparation, review, and application of Findings and Determinations (F&Ds) and related siting or approval documentation. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options, may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.

- Review, develop, and recommend campus and facility design standards, planning guidelines, and best practices to improve consistency and project outcomes.
- Support the Space and Site Planning Department in strategic planning, project prioritization, and reporting to the Campus Planner/Space and Site Planning Lead.

- Champion the development and adoption of innovative architectural and planning concepts, methodologies, and best practices that influence Laboratory-wide infrastructure strategies and long-range targets.
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert, providing authoritative technical guidance and strategic recommendations to senior management and external stakeholders on campus architecture, site planning and long-range infrastructure development.
- Influence and shape Laboratory-wide architectural and planning standards, review processes, and governance practices to ensure consistency, sustainability, and alignment with future mission requirements.
