We’re recruiting for a Client Onboarding Manager to provide a dedicated end-to-end onboarding and change management service within L&G Asset Management’s Client Service Operations team. As part of the Segregated Client Onboarding Team, you will be supporting clients investing into our segregated and bespoke fund vehicles, co-ordinating all take-on/change related Legal and Operational tasks and activities spanning the breadth of the business to ensure the timely and comprehensive onboarding of client objectives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing end‑to‑end project management accountability for delivering events across new and existing client mandates within segregated vehicles at L&G, from pitch through to full implementation
- Co‑ordinating the implementation of new client mandates across the business, including securing approvals, enabling account set‑up, resolving non‑standard requirements and establishing legal and operational foundations for mandate changes
- Communicating progress effectively with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating working group sessions as required to monitor delivery and manage risks
- Building a strong understanding of L&G’s business functions, developing and maintaining effective working relationships across all relevant areas
- Acting as an onboarding consultant, demonstrating technical expertise, understanding client decision‑making and investment objectives, and mapping key milestones to manage expectations
- Applying, designing and embedding governance, processes and procedures to ensure a risk‑controlled, compliant operating environment
- Supporting strategic initiatives, including the Strategic Target Operating Model (STOM), to optimise client onboarding processes and cross‑functional engagement
- Providing oversight, guidance and training to junior team members while delivering day‑to‑day and strategic support to the Head of Client Onboarding
Who we’re looking for:
- Knowledge of product structures, vehicles, asset classes, financial instruments and investment strategies operated within a leading asset management firm
- The ability to manage multiple priority items within a high-pressure delivery framework, whilst maintaining a focus on stakeholder engagement and balancing business risk management with service delivery
- Project management experience, ideally within an investment management context
- Demonstrable track record of dealing with external clients and building significant relationships with internal and external contacts including at senior levels
- Knowledge of current investment, market, regulatory and economic matters
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate, influence and operate with senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Computer literacy, competent across suite of Microsoft software
