We’re recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join our Institutional Retirement Finance team.
In this role you will work at the heart of a collaborative, commercially focused Finance function who seamlessly partner with various stakeholders across the group to help drive meaningful business outcomes through high quality financial insight, forecasting & planning activities, and a deep understanding of financial performance.

This role is a Hybrid working opportunity, which will allow you to split your working week between your home and our London office to find a work- life balance that works for you.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the delivery of monthly forecasts, performance reporting and the annual strategic planning cycle across key financial metrics
- Developing and maintaining financial models and producing analysis to explain results, project outcomes and assess different business scenarios
- Partnering with teams across Institutional Retirement, Investments, Risk and Group Finance to provide insight and influence decision‑making
- Communicating financial results, insights and projections clearly to stakeholders in both written and verbal formats
- Providing finance expertise into change initiatives, projects and new business activity, assessing financial impacts and priorities
- Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls and modelling approaches to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Applying commercial awareness to understand business performance drivers, risks and opportunities and support actions that optimise outcomes
- Ensuring alignment with governance, controls and regulatory expectations, contributing to accurate and auditable reporting
Who we're looking for:
- Qualified Actuary (FIA / FFA /equivalent) or Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / equivalent) with CFA Qualification also being advantageous
- A strong understanding of financial reporting concepts such as IFRS 17 (profit drivers, CSM, risk adjustment, onerous contract identification, discount rate calculation), IFRS 9 (classification and measurement of financial instruments) and Solvency II/Solvency UK (capital/liquidity concepts, including Matching Adjustment in a bulk annuity or life insurance context)
- Experience in financial planning, forecasting or business performance analysis within financial services or another complex environment
- Ability to build and use financial models, with strong Excel skills and an interest in tools such as Power BI, Power Query or Anaplan
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into meaningful insight for stakeholders
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams
- Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to interrogate data, challenge assumptions and form well‑reasoned recommendations
- Proactive problem‑solving skills, with confidence to work independently and exercise sound judgement
