This role provides technical expertise and professional support in relation to SEC/PCAOB independence matters to our Audit & Assurance team. Our Audit teams provide value to our clients by delivering specialised quality audit and assurance services. Your Opportunity
- Assist the Ethics & Independence team and the Audit team in managing various SEC/PCAOB Engagement Independence matters as well as APES 110, IESBA, and Corporations Act 2001 Auditor Independence matters.
- Desing, manage and execute the Engagement Independence component of a large-scale onboarding of new SEC audit client.
- Consult with the Ethics & Independence team, the wider firm and other member firms to share knowledge on specific SEC independence issues, to provide added value and timely responses to the business.
- Remain resilient under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks as necessary.
- Build effective relationships with KPMG Partners and staff both locally and globally.
How are you Extraordinary?
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of SEC and PCAOB Auditor Independence rules and regulations, particularly within the Engagement Independence space.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of SEC affiliate rules
- Experience in audit, risk consulting or risk management from either a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Auditor independence rules and regulations, such as APES 110, IESBA, and Corporations Act 2001, and awareness of EU and UK PIE rules.
- Experience in the onboarding of prospective SEC audit clients.
- Experience in application of SEC affiliates rules in large Private Equity structures.
