Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Accounting & Tax Department at our Marousi premises.
The Senior Tax Accountant manages and oversees the company's tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities by navigating complex tax regulations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to decision-making processes.
More particularly:
What you’ll do:
1. Oversee the Record-to-Report (RTR) cycle, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of tax-related financial data within SAP.
2. Perform precise SAP postings, including period-end adjustments, accruals, and tax provisions.
3. Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts to ensure all financial reporting meets both Group standards and Greek statutory requirements.
4. Manage end-to-end Intercompany accounting processes, including IC billing, transfer pricing documentation support, and dispute resolution.
5. Perform monthly Intercompany reconciliations to ensure all intra-group balances are eliminated and accurately reported.
6. Collaborate with Group entities to streamline cross-border transaction flows and tax documentation.
7. Prepare and file comprehensive VAT, VIES, and Intrastat declarations.
8. Identify and implement automation opportunities within the RTR process to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors in SAP.
9. Provide expert accounting and tax guidance to internal stakeholders regarding complex transactions.
10. Stay ahead of the evolving Greek tax landscape, proactively updating internal workflows to remain compliant.
11. Work in accordance with the requirements of the written Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Directives and Protocols of the company's Quality System, that are related to the duties of the position described.
12. Follow the rules of hygiene and control of health status as defined in the relevant Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
Minimum Qualifications:
§ BSc in Economics or Business Administration
§ Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation would be considered an asset
Minimum Experience:
§ 4-6 years of relevant tax & accounting experience preferably in an international/multinational
Job-Specific Skills:
§ Excellent understanding of Accounting (RTR & RTP) processes
§ Experience with Direct & Indirect Tax reports (VAT, INTRASTAT, VIES etc.)
§ Experience with customs could be considered as a plus
§ Excellent IT skills
§ Working experience of SAP R/3 (preferable)
§ Excellent in English both written and spoken
§ Organized, proactive, self-driven, outgoing, involved, always looking to improve own work
§ Willingness to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities
§ Flexible and adaptable
