About You
You will come from a Café/ Hospitality environment and be able to make a great coffee. We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual who is truly passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and has meticulous attention to detail in all tasks. In this position, you will engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering a welcoming environment while addressing their needs. A strong understanding of food safety practices, including hygiene regulations and basic food preparation skills, is essential to maintaining a safe and clean café environment. Your ability to work collaboratively with café staff and management will ensure smooth operations. With a keen eye for cleanliness and presentation, you will uphold high hygiene and aesthetic standards throughout the café. Furthermore, your excellent time management skills will enable you to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods, ensuring a consistent level of service quality. About The Role
This is not your average café, as we are not open to the public, your key customers will be the coffee loving Journey Beyond team and visitors to office. As a Café Attendant, your primary responsibilities will include taking orders and serving a variety of coffees and drinks to JB staff and guests. You will also be welcoming guests & visitors to Journey Beyond Head office.
You will be accountable for setting up and packing down the café, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the office kitchens and breakout areas are well-stocked and tidy each day. You will also assist the Office Coordinator with event setup and cleanup for board meetings and monthly staff mixers, helping to create collaborative and inviting environments. Additionally, you will support in liaising with suppliers and facility contractors, all while enhancing the overall experience for everyone involved.
This is a permanent part-time position, Monday to Thursday working 7:30am to 3:00pm, with flexibility to also cover additional busy periods and cover leave for the other café staff is also required.
