Why This Job Is Exciting
As a UX Engineer at Innovatrics, you will be at the forefront of how user experience evolves in the age of AI. This isn't a traditional design role, it's a strategic, enabling position that shapes how every solution team across the company works with design. You will own the development and evolution of our design system as an internal inner-source (open source for internal teams) tool, empowering teams to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences independently.
AI is fundamentally transforming the way we work, new roles are appearing, workflows are being reimagined, and the boundary between design, engineering, and product is shifting. We are looking for someone who embraces this change and wants to define what UX looks like in this new era.
📅 Within one month, you will…
- Gain a deep understanding of Innovatrics' biometric products, solution teams, and current design system.
- Familiarise yourself with the existing design system structure, Figma libraries, and tooling.
📅 Within three months, you will…
- Begin contributing to the design system, refining components, collecting team feedback, and documenting usage guidelines as AI consumable context.
- Start facilitating design system adoption across solution teams, acting as the bridge between UX knowledge and team autonomy.
- Explore and prototype your first AI agent skills to help teams self-serve design guidance.
📅 Within six months, you will…
- Own the evolution of the design system, adding new components, retiring outdated ones, and incorporating team contributions.
- Have deployed AI agent capabilities that help solution teams access design knowledge and guidance autonomously.
- Be actively advising multiple solution teams on UX best practices and design system contribution.
📅 Within one year, you will…
- Have helped establish a consistent visual language and user experience across all Innovatrics solutions.
- Be a recognised expert on how UX and AI-driven design tooling intersect within the organisation.
Requirements
About You
You are a UX professional with solid experience in design systems who is genuinely excited about the role AI plays in transforming how teams work. You understand that the future of UX is not about one person designing everything, but about enabling every team to deliver great experiences independently.
You are a facilitator and communicator as much as a designer. You can translate UX knowledge into reusable tools, AI-assisted guidance, and scalable systems. You are comfortable working across multiple teams simultaneously, collecting feedback, evolving the system iteratively, and coaching others along the way.
We care about your mindset, adaptability, and genuine curiosity about where UX is headed than about your CV's brand names.
Qualifications
Must-have qualifications:
- Experience in UX design, with a strong focus on design systems.
- Proven experience owning or significantly contributing to a design system in a real product environment.
- Proficiency in Figma for design system management, component libraries, and documentation.
- AI mindset, you actively use AI tools in your workflow and are curious about how AI can extend and scale design capabilities.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder communication skills, you can run workshops, gather requirements, and align diverse teams.
- Ability to work across multiple independent teams, managing different needs, maturity levels, and feedback loops.
- Open-minded and adaptable, you embrace ambiguity and evolving role definitions as AI reshapes how teams work.
Advantages (nice-to-have):
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Node.js and React.
- Experience with token-based design systems or component-driven development.
- Exposure to AI agent development, prompt engineering, or MCP (Model Context Protocol) concepts.
- Experience in B2B or enterprise software environments.
