Decision Technologies seeks a Configuration Management and Availability Planning Specialist to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.
Position Description:
- The Configuration Management and Availability Planning Specialist will manage SCD data through the life cycle within the Naval Data Environment (NDE) system to ensure accuracy of fielding plans updates
MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Own the full lifecycle of configuration data within NDE, ensuring fielding plan accuracy and timely updates
- Initiate and develop System Change Documents (SCDs), gathering data from engineering specifications, cost estimates, and impact assessments
- Coordinate across engineering, testing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless SCD implementation
- Lead Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes, facilitating technical reviews and approval workflows for all configuration changes
- Initiate and submit ILS Certifications in NDE for SPM approval and maintain ILS Checklists for all SCN configuration changes
- Process Phase IV fielding plan updates as availability and funding evolve
- Review Letters of Authorization (LOAs) for accuracy related to naval combat systems software alterations
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- HS Diploma and 5 plus years of experience with Configuration Management and Availability Planning.
- Must have a strong understanding of government oversight requirements and industry best practices.
- Must have the ability to coordinate with multi-site teams and manage complex documentation processes.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with availability planning and alteration scheduling in NDE
- Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) experience
- Configuration Data Manager Database- Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) Experience
Potential Subcontract Type: Cost Plus Fixed Fee, LOE (if you do not have an approved or adequate accounting system, award will be Time and Material).
