Decision Technologies seeks a qualified Medium Range Air Defense Radar (MRADR) CRT to join our team in Okinawa, Japan.
Position Description: A MRADAR CRT is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of advanced radar systems used in surveillance, target acquisition, and air traffic control. These technicians ensure the accuracy and reliability of mobile radar equipment, often deployed in diverse environments to support real-time battlefield awareness and airspace management. Their duties include troubleshooting electronic systems, calibrating radar components, and coordinating with command elements to provide critical data for mission planning and execution.

Responsibilities and Duties:
· Operate and maintain the Medium Range Air Defense Radar (MRADR) system in support of USMC Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) operations.
· Conduct system start-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures according to technical manuals and standard operating procedures.
· Monitor radar system performance and data output to detect and track aerial threats in real-time.
· Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on radar components, power systems, and support equipment.
· Install, align, and configure radar antennas and associated communication systems in deployed environments.
· Execute preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) to ensure operational readiness and mitigate system failures.
· Analyze radar data and collaborate with the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) for target acquisition and threat prioritization.
· Coordinate with other air defense assets (e.g., LAAD, TPS-80 G/ATOR, AN/TPS-59) for integrated battlespace awareness and defense coverage.
· Support electronic protection (EP) and emission control (EMCON) procedures to minimize vulnerability to enemy detection and jamming.
· Maintain accurate logs and maintenance records in accordance with Marine Corps policy and technical documentation.
· Train junior personnel on MRADR system operations, safety protocols, and tactical deployment techniques.
· Support system integration and testing efforts during field exercises, pre-deployment training, and live-fire events.
· Participate in mobility and field readiness operations, including equipment loading, site preparation, and radar emplacement.
· Stay current on updates to technical manuals, system software, and Marine Corps air defense doctrine.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
· Proven experience operating and maintaining ground-based air defense radar systems (e.g., MRADR, AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR, or equivalent).
· Familiarity with radar theory, target acquisition, and electronic warfare principles.
· Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, RF systems, and mechanical components used in radar platforms.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and troubleshooting guides.
