Role Overview
The CEO Lawyer Law Firm is seeking a results‑driven In‑House General Counsel & Advertising Attorney to provide strategic legal guidance across advertising compliance, regulatory risk management, and firm operations. This role is designed for a legal professional who can partner closely with leadership and marketing teams to ensure compliance while supporting growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
This hybrid role combines General Counsel and Advertising Attorney responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- General Counsel / Internal Legal Duties
- Serve as the firm’s primary in‑house legal advisor, counseling executive leadership on legal risk, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of internal contracts, including vendor agreements, marketing agreements, technology contracts, NDAs, and partnership arrangements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal legal policies and compliance programs.
- Advise on corporate governance, entity compliance, and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with firm operations and growth initiatives.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel and ensure cost‑effective use of external legal resources.
- Advertising & Marketing Compliance Duties
- Review, approve, and provide legal guidance on all advertising and marketing materials across digital, social media, broadcast, print, and emerging platforms.
- Ensure compliance with state bar advertising rules, professional responsibility standards, FTC regulations, consumer protection laws, and applicable state laws.
- Advise marketing teams on permissible claims, disclosures, disclaimers, testimonials, endorsements, and influencer partnerships.
- Draft and review advertising disclaimers, terms of service, privacy policies, and website content.
- Monitor changes in advertising regulations and ethics rules, proactively updating internal stakeholders and marketing practices.
- Partner with marketing, data, and technology teams to evaluate legal risk related to analytics, automation, AI‑driven marketing tools, and consumer data usage.
Qualifications
Education: J.D. from accredited law school.
License: Active US Attorney Bar license (required).
Experience: 5+ years in advertsing law and contracts.
Strong understanding of HR compliance, contract law, and advertising regulations.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred: In-house or law firm experience; familiarity with firm operations and billing.

Pay range: $120,000-$150,000
