👩💻 Your Impact
ViCentra is entering an important transition phase in its product journey. As part of our strategy key software components are currently being developed and prepared for submission by an experienced external partner. Once this phase is complete, ownership shifts fully back to ViCentra. As a Software Test Engineer, you join right at this handover.
Your impact will be in helping ViCentra build internal testing knowledge and capability for the long term. You will learn how our devices and software are tested in a regulated medical‑device environment and contribute directly to making that testing robust, repeatable, and maintainable.
You will start close to the hardware, testing communication between the insulin pump and Bluetooth connections, before gradually growing into testing the Kaleido App and other software components. Along the way, you will help ensure that what we ship is not only functional, but safe, reliable, and well‑documented.
🔧 What You’ll Take On
In your role, you will:
Execute and document manual software tests, clearly and accurately recording results.
Learn and apply existing software test protocols, understanding why tests are designed the way they are.
Contribute to building and improving automated tests, starting small and growing in complexity over time.
Begin with testing hardware–software interaction, including Bluetooth communication with the pump.
Gradually expand into testing the Kaleido App and other software components as the product ecosystem evolves.
Identify, document, and clearly communicate defects so they can be reproduced and resolved efficiently.
Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and quality colleagues — communication is key in MedTech.
