Jr. Breakfast Chef @ The Dude
Early risers have the day! Breakfast buffet is served every day from 7am until 10am, in the weekend until 11am. Guest can also go for a la carte breakfast - a fresh avo toast, a healthy breakfast bowl, or a savoury full English brekkie - we got it all! In this role, your focus is on the breakfast buffet, but you'll also support your colleague with a la carte breakfast and making MEP for lunch and dinner service.
A workday includes:
Setting up the breakfast buffet + maintaining it during service time. This includes replenishing items, keeping the buffet clean, as well as ensuring guests hand in their breakfast tokens as proof of payment for breakfast.
Taking care of the buffet MEP and ensuring it is organized for next days' breakfast service. Also, assist your colleague in preparing MEP for a la carte breakfast, the daily staff meal for the hostel team and, if needed, assist with dinner MEP.
Preparing food during breakfast and lunch service . This can be to support your colleague, to cover during break times or just because there is a busy moment. It's hospitality, so this happens!
Following up on standards set and ensuring that all food that leaves the kitchen is in line with these standards.
Following HACCP* regulations and quality control, e.g. daily cleaning, temperature checks etc.
Attend regular kitchen meetings.
If you are not HACCP certified, we will offer you a HACCP course.
