At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty.
Now, we are looking for a new team member who is eager to make a real difference. As a Radio & Data Link Systems Engineer, you own the integration, configuration, and performance of radio and data link systems for interceptor UAVs operating in dynamic and congested RF environments. Your work ensures robust command & control, telemetry, data streaming, and cooperative multi-UAV operations across complex network topologies. You will operate close to the hardware, fly what you build, and continuously improve system performance from lab bench to flight test.
Integrate and optimize radio and data link systems (WLAN, LTE/5G, proprietary MIMO, UHF/VHF)
Configure, flash, and operate radios, flight controllers, and ground stations.
Design and validate mesh and multi-node network topologies with multiple UAVs, ground control stations and operators
Analyze and improve link performance metrics (latency, throughput, reliability, recovery).
Perform link budget analysis and support antenna & RF integration.
Support ground and flight testing, including on-site troubleshooting.
Manage system configurations, interfaces, and changes
Ensure regulatory and licensing compliance (ETSI/FCC, spectrum usage).
Contribute to system architecture and cross-functional design reviews.
