At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty.
We are looking for a Lead Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering to take end-to-end ownership of production readiness, industrialization, and manufacturing performance.
This role ensures that our factory environment is:
Ready for production according to plan (volume, timeline, capability)
Continuously optimized for cost, quality, and scalability
Influencing product design early to ensure DFX and manufacturability
You will act as the bridge between R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production, ensuring seamless transition from product development to high-rate manufacturing.
Production and Readiness & Industrialization
Ensure manufacturing environment readiness aligned with production ramp plans.
Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for electronics and electromechanical assemblies.
Define production workflows, line layouts, and capacity models.
Manage factory modifications and infrastructure adjustments for new equipment and production scaling.
Lead pilot builds, pre-series runs, and industrial validation phases along with establishing serial production ready processes.
Cost & Quality Optimization
Drive continuous improvement of productivity, yield, and cost structure.
Conduct time and motion studies; define labor standards and takt times.
Implement Lean principles and waste reduction initiatives.
Develop and maintain quality control processes and control plans.
Identify bottlenecks and lead root cause analysis for production and testing issues.
Improve OEE, process stability, and operator performance.
Early Design Involvement & DFX
Collaborate closely with R&D from early design stages to drive DFX (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Test, Cost, Service).
Review product designs for scalability, manufacturability, yield, and cost implications.
Influence design decisions based on industrialization constraints and high-rate production requirements.
Ensure smooth NPI transition into serial production.
Technology & Automation
Evaluate and integrate new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.
Define tooling, fixtures, and test equipment requirements.
Lead automation initiatives to improve throughput and reduce manual dependency.
Cross-Functional & International Collaboration
Act as the manufacturing interface to R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management and Production.
Support supplier industrialization and production transfer when required.
Train technicians and production partners (including external partner factory in Ukraine) on assembly processes and standards
