Are you interested in hotel processes, always looking for improvement opportunities and able to work independently? Then, this internship is perfect for you!
Hey there! If time management and organized work are 'no big deal' for you, and you'd love to intern in a young and growing company, then this opportunity is perfect for you! We are currently looking for a General Management Intern to optimize the daily operations of our hotel group. You will collaborate directly with the operations management team to support them with various projects, focusing on improving processes across all hotels.

We are a group of apartment-hotels driven by delivering the best experience the world has ever seen, for guests staying one night or one year. From Amsterdam to the world! Our teams have the ambitious goal to develop multiple new apartment-hotels across prime European cities like London, Dublin and Lisbon. Each location has the local stories and spirit interwoven throughout the apartment-hotel’s distinctive design. The July believes that each stay has it's own story, whether you're travelling for business, pleasure or both - we hear the cool kids call that bleisure - our apartments serve as your place for as long as you're with us. Mixing the freedom of apartment-living with luxury services of a hotel, our teams ensure that each stay is special.
The internship
Still with us?! Great! We'd love to take you through a typical Monday of our General Management Intern... Throughout the week, you work in different locations, but today you open your laptop in the lobby of BOAT&CO. While checking emails, you spot a few colleagues struggling with an operational system. Here’s your chance! You delve into their challenges and brainstorm creative solutions to enhance their experience.
Around 11AM you have your weekly meeting with your manager, and enjoy a cup of coffee while discussing ongoing projects and those you want to pick up.
You love taking initiative, so after the meeting, you immediately start working on various projects that can improve operations across all hotels. Your projects are diverse, and tailored to your own interests and ideas. Examples of projects you might work on are.
Cost Analysis: With help of Finance, you dive into the cleaning costs numbers, and you look into the processes of the housekeeping department, to uncover why our cleaning expenses are as they are, and suggest actionable improvements.
System Implementation: Lead the planning and rollout of a new operational communication system, organizing training sessions with the support of the new system, and ensuring your colleagues feel confident with the transition!
Brand Standards Rollout: Help set up and implement our brand standards across all hotels, ensuring every guest experiences our commitment to excellence!
After you've started working on your projects, you enjoy lunch with your colleagues, followed by a brief update with HR about the operational training plan you are helping to develop. Working in an organized manner is no problem for you!
At the end of the day, you update your to-do list and join the free Bootcamp with your colleagues!
