Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a Construction Field Technician (Entry–Junior Level) to join our Bridgeville, PA team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience in the field while supporting a wide range of geotechnical and environmental projects. You’ll work on active construction sites, partnering with experienced professionals and serving clients across both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field observation and testing to support geotechnical and environmental projects
- Monitor and test soil moisture and density using a nuclear density gauge
- Conduct testing of concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials
- Observe and document construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Prepare clear, accurate daily field reports and test summaries to document work performed
Requirements
- 0-3 years experience in the Geotechnical or Construction industries
- Own Transportation, Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record REQUIRED
- Enjoy Working Outdoors
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to regularly lift to 60 pounds
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic
- NICET, WACEL and/or ACI certifications preferred but not required
- Must have steel toe boots
Technicians require the ability and willingness to work almost entirely outdoors, perform extensive fieldwork and travel significant distances to project sites. Overtime may be required, depending on the project. GTA will reimburse you for mileage and tolls and pay you "time and a half" for overtime! GTA will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment, which includes High Visibility Vest, Hard Hat, Gloves, and Safety Glasses.

This position may require standing for extended durations as well as repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus.
