International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for:
Accounting Specialist
Responsibilities
- Books invoices in SAP4HANA by controlling expenses, receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling the necessary supporting documentation (POs, Agreements, Offers, etc.).
- Maintains proper Accounting Ledgers by booking G/L entries (bank entries, depreciations, accruals, etc.).
- Performs bank reconciliations monthly.
- Prepares periodical Vendors’/Customers’ Ledger reconciliations.
- Monitors the company’s Tax obligations (Double Taxation Forms, Royalties).
- Supports the Accounting Manager during the month-end & Year-end closing.
- Assists the Accounting Manager upon performance of any Audit (interim/fiscal/tax/VAT).
- Maintains a proper and organized physical and digital record of all accounting documents.
- Collaborates with other company’s Dpts. and ensures open communication channels with them.
- Assists in other accounting related tasks, when requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Accounting/Finance is considered an asset
- Minimum 3 years of working experience
- Experience with high-volume or complex models
- Knowledge of IFRS and GFRS
- Experience with ERP, preferably SAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
- Excellent knowledge of English language, both oral and written
