The Senior Cyber Resilience & Crisis Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the organization’s ability to withstand, respond to, and recover from severe cyber disruptions. This is a strategic and tactical role that bridges the gap between technical Disaster Recovery and corporate Business Continuity.
You will lead the design of resilience frameworks, facilitate high-stakes crisis simulations (wargames), and ensure that our Client’s critical business processes are mapped against technical dependencies. Your mission is to minimize the impact of a crisis and ensure operational continuity under any circumstances.
What you will do:
Resilience & Continuity Design
- Design and implement Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) tailored to complex technical environments.
- Develop Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and perform comprehensive dependency mapping across applications and infrastructure.
- Ensure alignment with international standards such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, and industry-specific resilience regulations (e.g., DORA).
Crisis Management & Simulations
- Lead Cyber Crisis Response planning, including the creation of communication flows and decision-making matrices for executive leadership.
- Facilitate Tabletop exercises and wargames to test the organization’s readiness against ransomware and other catastrophic scenarios.
- Design and execute operational resilience tests to validate recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).
Risk & Governance Alignment
- Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical services and prioritize recovery efforts.
- Partner with the GRC team to ensure resilience controls are integrated into the broader corporate risk registry.
- Document and maintain technical recovery procedures and crisis playbooks for cross-functional teams.
Tools & Technologies:
- Frameworks: Expert knowledge of ISO 22301, ISO 27031, and NIST SP 800-34.
- Planning Tools: Experience with BCMS software (e.g., Fusion Risk Management, Castellan, or ServiceNow BCM).
- Simulations: Proficiency in design tools for wargaming and crisis simulation platforms.
- Infrastructure: Understanding of high-availability architectures, cloud backup solutions, and data replication technologies.
What you bring:
- 6–8+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Cyber Crisis Management.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to command authority and provide clear direction during high-pressure situations.
- Analytical Thinking: Deep expertise in mapping business processes to technical IT dependencies.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate technical recovery details into business-impact language for senior executives.
- Certifications: CBCP, MBCI, or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.
