About the role
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong analytical, data literacy, and process mapping skills to support an enterprise-wide data modernization effort within a vertically integrated manufacturing environment. This role will translate business requirements into actionable reporting and data solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and related Azure data services. The ideal candidate understands the complexities of manufacturing operations, supply chain, financial flows, and sales performance and can work cross-functionally to ensure analytics deliver measurable business outcomes.
What you will do:
- Requirements & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business leaders across Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Marketing to define reporting needs
- Document KPIs, metrics, dimensional structures, and semantic logic to support standardized reporting models
- Analytics Delivery
- Ensure Power BI datasets and dashboards are designed to meet business objectives — accurate, timely, secure, and actionable
- Support validation and UAT for new reports/data products before deployment
- Data Process Mapping & Governance
- Map current business processes, data flows, and dependencies across ERP (D365/AX) and integrated systems
- Work closely with Data Engineers to guide transformations needed to structure analytics-ready data
- Help define data quality rules, governance standards, and master data requirements
- ● Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation, self-service analytics, and data democratization
- Track enhancement requests and maintain a prioritized backlog aligned with enterprise strategy
What you bring:
- 3–5+ years' experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or similar role
- Strong experience writing functional requirements and BI solution documentation in an Agile environment
- Practical understanding of:
- Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and workspace organization
- ERP and operational data, especially Dynamics 365 / Dynamics AX
- Manufacturing process data (work orders, BOMs, routing, costing, throughput, supply chain)
- Familiarity with SQL-based data environments and ability to perform basic data exploration/validation
- Ability to facilitate workshops, communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, and present findings to executive stakeholders
Nice if you have:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Fabric Link integrations
- Knowledge of marketing and sales data flows and attribution models
- Understanding of financial reporting hierarchies and cost accounting structures
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps for backlog and work item management
- Experience working closely with Data Engineering teams or within DataOps environments
