The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for assisting with all aspects of construction from scheduling to the pre-site inspection to receipt of the Certificate of Completion/Certificate of Occupancy. APM must be knowledgeable in all phases of the installation and operation of all equipment and systems. The APM is the liaison between the customer and the sub-contractors and helps to coordinate all sub-contractor activities to complete each phase of construction. Sets schedule/construction timeline on all jobs. Resolves any conflicts in scheduling; corrects any miscommunications and maintains relationships with contractors to ensure production can move forward.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support project planning and pre-construction activities, including assisting Project Managers, Design Consultants, and Sales Managers with inspections, site visits, canvas reports, and pre-site evaluations to identify and resolve site concerns prior to contract execution
Oversee all phases of the installation and construction process, documenting progress with digital photos, ensuring completion of required inspections, and meeting regularly with the Construction Manager to review project status and resolve outstanding issues
Coordinate scheduling and workflow by communicating effectively with the Scheduling Team and subcontractors, defining construction schedules, and maintaining strong working relationships to promote quality, safety, and scheduling efficiency.
Serve as the primary customer point of contact, communicating via phone and email regarding project status, scheduling, and questions; maintaining same-day responses; building strong customer relationships; and acting as a professional representative of A&S.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, including adherence to the A&S Safety Program and proper use of required safety equipment on all jobsites.
Manage project documentation and records, producing and maintaining accurate construction files such as permits, contract addenda, revised plans, incident reports, material selections, job files, and in-office tracking spreadsheets.
Support project financial and administrative needs, including ensuring payment schedules are maintained, collecting customer payments when necessary to advance construction phases, and performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

Performance KPIs and Job Expectations
Complete a minimum of 25 job sites per week, with detailed canvas reports for each visit.
Maintain a CSS score average of 70, actively involved with turnarounds as needed.
Be in the field and available from Monday to Friday starting at 7:30am, ending the day no earlier than 4:30pm. Project managers may need to work on Saturdays, depending on the season. Exceptions to this schedule must be approved in advance by the Construction Manager.
100% compliance on mandatory inspections.
Maintain a driver score of 94% from the Fleet Management System.
Maintains regular communication with each customer and responds to all customer communications within 24 hours during business hours.
