WHO YOU ARE
This Darwin-based role will demonstrate strong technical capability and the confidence to manage key works packages across complex construction projects.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 4+ years’ experience in project coordination or site engineering within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and buildability
- Highly proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC/BCA and authority requirements
- Able to identify design, programme and delivery risks and proactively drive solutions
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Strong communicator who builds effective relationships with consultants, subcontractors and site teams
- Proficient in MS Office, project management software and document control systems (e.g. Aconex, TeamBinder)
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, site-based environment while managing competing priorities
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support delivery of assigned building works packages across the full project lifecycle, from design coordination and procurement through to construction and handover
- Coordinate and manage design queries, RFIs, drawing reviews and registers, ensuring accuracy, sequencing and buildability
- Identify design risks, non‑conformances and opportunities within assigned works packages and escalate as required
- Monitor and report progress of design, procurement and construction activities against programme milestones
- Support site teams with coordination of on‑site installation works, including accurate set‑out and sequencing
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure works are delivered in accordance with contract scope, specifications and programme requirements
- Assist with preparation of scopes of work, subcontract packages and tender assessments
- Track procurement lead times and delivery schedules for key materials to protect programme outcomes
- Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively identify and escalate risks, delays or quality issues
- Support implementation of DCOH HSEQ systems and WHS obligations across assigned works packages
- Assist in coordinating inspection and test plans (ITPs), inspections and testing with consultants and engineers
- Monitor compliance with Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, engineering specifications and authority approvals
- Ensure quality records and as‑built documentation are progressively collected and maintained
- Maintain accurate project records including RFIs, variations, transmittals, meeting minutes and registers, and support internal reporting and progress claims
- Participate in site, consultant and coordination meetings, contributing to a collaborative, accountable and professional team culture aligned with DCOH values
